Can I just say how delighted I am with the lovely working relationship developing between my son and Nick. Nick has made a great connection very quickly and my son has thoroughly enjoyed their assessment sessions together. Onward and upwards to new adventures in the New Year!
Read MoreAssessments are undertaken by a multi-disciplinary team comprising a chartered psychologist and a consultant speech and language therapist. All clinicians involved have extensive experience working with people with social communication difficulties and diagnosing ASD.
Before agreeing to undertake a full assessment, individuals are requested to complete a questionnaire providing information about their concerns, presentation and some background information. The information obtained will be used to decide whether there is sufficient evidence to warrant a full assessment.
Full assessment, should it be carried out, is likely to entail a combination of the following, depending on the specific needs and presentation of the individual:
In line with NICE guidelines, the assessment is carried out as part of a multidisciplinary team, joint with a psychologist, and detailed information is also gathered from other settings such as the individual’s workplace.
Additional assessments may be needed depending on the presenting needs and/or in order to guide appropriate support and intervention.
We also partner with professionals from the following organisations to complete adult ASD assessments.
